The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This role is based at our Lodge site and requires on site presence five days per week. The Assistant Management Accountant will support all areas of site finance, with a primary focus on Operations while also supporting the Commercial and Financial Reporting functions. The role will involve regular reporting, financial analysis, and assisting with the preparation of weekly and monthly financial information to support operational decision-making.

Main duties:

  • Prepare weekly stock and labour reporting, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Produce weekly gross margin reporting, including variance analysis and checking for errors within sales and cost of sales data.
  • Support the weekly payment run process.
  • Maintain spend trackers, monitoring departmental spend and highlighting variances where appropriate.
  • Carry out supplier due diligence checks.
  • Prepare weekly Operations and Commercial KPI reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of month-end accounts, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the Operational Finance Manager and Commercial Finance Manager as required.

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:

  • Proactive and motivated, with strong analytical capability and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
  • Ability to manage tasks through to completion with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across teams.
  • Confident and professional in their approach.
  • Takes ownership of their work and demonstrates the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Currently studying towards a relevant accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week. Salary to be discussed at interview stage.
