Job Purpose
To participate in the production of high-quality, great tasting, safe meat products for our customers throughout the UK.
Job Context
Our Production Operatives make high-quality, great tasting, safe meat products for our customers who include Tesco and Marks & Spencer.
Our Operatives work in a specific department where they will either bring meat into the site, prepare it, cook it, process it, slice and package it, or boxing and despatch it to locations throughout the UK. We also have a team of Hygiene Operatives who ensure all of our equipment is cleaned to the highest standards every day.
As each area has different machinery and equipment, Operatives will be trained on the specific machinery and procedures for their department and must adhere to the trained procedures at all times.
Responsibilities
of the role
- Complete the daily operational plan for their designated department.
- Escalate any production issues to the Team Leader as required.
- Comply with company and legislative health and safety, food safety and personal hygiene procedures and regulations.
- Learn company procedures and ensure that they are followed correctly at all times.
- Strive to do their best every day y trying t exceed performance and improve standards .
- Ensure that agreed GMP standards are maintained, and green results are achieved on weekly audits by the technical team.
- Have a flexible attitude to work and work in other areas of the factory as required.
- To be representative of the company\’s high standards at all times and to conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.
Available shifts
Production Operative rates and shifts:
FMP: 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 06:00 (8 hour shifts, alternating weekly)
High Risk: 06:00 – 18:00 and 18:00 – 06:00
Boxing and Despatch: 06:00 – 18:00 and 18:00 – 06:00
Hygiene: 06:00 – 18:00 and 18:00 – 06:00 and 22:00 – 06:00
