Location: Wakefield (minimum 2 days per week office based)

As an IDVA, you will provide specialist, trauma-informed support to victim-survivors of domestic abuse who are assessed as high risk. You will work alongside individuals to assess risk, develop safety plans, advocate on their behalf, and coordinate support through multi-agency partnerships to improve safety and outcomes.

This is a varied role where you will:

  • Manage a caseload of high-risk domestic abuse cases.
  • Complete risk assessments and safety plans.
  • Represent victim-survivors at MARAC and other safeguarding forums.
  • Advocate with police, courts, housing, health and social care services.
  • Support survivors through criminal and civil justice processes.
  • Deliver one-to-one advocacy and contribute to group-based support.
  • Assist with drop-ins and other service activities as required.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to reduce risk and improve safety outcomes.
