Based at Routes Youth Advice Hub, Dudley
Are you passionate about making a difference for children and young people? Do you thrive in relationship-based work where every day is different and where early support can change lives?
We are looking for a Hub Engagement and Intervention Worker to join our team in Dudley and help deliver an accessible, welcoming and responsive offer for young people through Routes Youth Advice Hub.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with children, young people and young adults aged 13-25 in an open access youth hub and community settings. You will build trusted relationships, provide information, advice and early interventions, and help young people access the right support at the right time.
The role includes a mix of:
- engagement and relationship-building
- brief interventions and advice
- mentoring and strengths-based support
- group work and activities
- outreach and community engagement
- working with partners to ensure joined-up support
You will help create a safe, inclusive and approachable environment where young people feel heard, respected and supported to move forward positively.
About you
We are looking for someone who is warm, approachable and confident in engaging young people quickly and effectively. You will bring experience of working with children, young people or young adults in a supportive, relationship-based way, and you will understand the importance of early intervention, safeguarding and inclusive practice.
At Cranstoun, we are a social justice and harm reduction charity with a clear purpose: to inspire and empower people to live healthier and safer lives.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a developing and visible service that is helping make support more accessible for young people in Dudley.
