Salary: 27,180 – 33,580 per annum depending on experience

Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. This is an exciting opportunity to become a Senior Practitioner within our high performing psychosocial drug and alcohol service in HMP Birmingham.
We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate people work closely with services users to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide.
You will be responsible for being the first point of contact for trainee key workers and newly appointed keyworkers, providing guidance and peer supervision. You will lead on auditing patient records regularly and support with innovation and implementing new initiatives. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider drug strategy.
You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently. Previous experience of support and leadership is advantageous but not essential. You will have experience of working with substance use settings and knowledge of the criminal justice system.
