An exciting opportunity to join the Cranstoun Worcestershire service as a Healthcare Assistant. Cranstoun Worcestershire operates an alcohol and drug service across Worcestershire and provides a range of services for individuals using alcohol or substances. The Worcestershire service also has services available for young people and families through the Here4Youth service. With our central hub in Worcester, we deliver interventions across all six districts via our shared care scheme and community outreach locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a range of clinical interventions for people who use alcohol and other drugs, including assessment of service users, blood‑borne virus screening, health screening, ambulatory detoxification delivery and support to team members in managing the health needs of service users.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with people who use substances and/or carers, or other vulnerable groups.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and knowledge of primary healthcare and treatment relating to people who use alcohol and other drugs.

Working Hours

  • Core hours: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm.
  • Additional service hours on some days between 8 am – 9 am and 5 – 7 pm, covering these hours on a rota basis.

Legal Disclosures

  • Post subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, checks against the Adult Barred List and Police Vetting.
