Large Manufacturer requires a Mechanical Design Engineer with Manufacturing floor experience to adopt a key R&D role. You'll combine Mechanical Design Engineer & Manufacturing Engineer duties. You will act as a link between Production & Design within a Global Vehicle Manufacturing environment.
The Role:
- Carry out 3D Modelling on Vehicle Designs within R&D Division
- Lead Prototype Builds and Interface between Design, Manufacturing & Quality Depts
- Carry out Design for Manufacture Reviews, Investigate Issues & Problem Solve
- Develop Manufacturing Processes including Tooling, Fixtures & Work Instructions
- Drive Permanent Improvements
The Person:
- Manufacturing related degree and 3-4 plus years' experience within Manufacturing
- Strong 3D modelling skills and ERP/ MRP and document management experience
- Strong Understanding of Manufacturing processes
- Root Cause Analysis, FMEA and possess Problem Solving skills
- You'll be comfortable working in a fast paced R&D environment
