Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Registered Manager role located in Chailey, East Sussex. The Registered Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will lead and manage a team of care staff, implement care plans, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for the children. Additional responsibilities include managing budgets, supervising staff performance and training, and liaising with local authorities to ensure the highest standards of care and support are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Leadership and management skills, including supervising teams and overseeing operations in a care setting
- Understanding of safeguarding practices, child protection, and regulatory compliance standards
- Experience in budget management and effective resource allocation
- Strong communication skills for liaising with different stakeholders, including local authorities and families
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or a willingness to achieve this qualification)
- Previous experience in a managerial role within a children’s care or support environment is highly desirable
- Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children and young people
