About the Opportunity
We are working with an established and growing manufacturing business to recruit a Technical Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and keen to build a career in technical quality and laboratory operations. In this role, you will support day-to-day technical and quality control activities, including routine laboratory analysis and responding to customer technical queries. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a supportive and collaborative technical team.
The Role
As Technical Assistant, you will play an important part in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with colleagues across technical, purchasing, and operations teams while gaining exposure to quality control systems and regulatory processes across global markets. This role would suit someone organised, proactive, and motivated to learn in a hands-on laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quality control testing on incoming raw materials, outgoing finished products, and internal samples
- Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis for customer orders
- Coordinate external laboratory testing (e.g. C14 and pesticide analysis) and review results
- Prepare and dispatch product samples with appropriate documentation
- Support the Purchasing team with quality-related queries
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organisation, and systems
- Develop understanding of regulatory compliance requirements across international markets
- Assist with technical projects, feasibility studies, and R&D activities
- Provide cover for other Technical Team members when required
Skills & Experience
We welcome applications from candidates at different stages of their career. While prior Quality Control experience is advantageous, it is not essential, as training will be provided. We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate:
