A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Production Operative to support the safe and efficient output of high-quality products. This role plays an important part in maintaining production standards, contributing to continuous improvement activities and supporting day-to-day factory operations across a rotating shift pattern.
Salary: £32,800 (Inclusive of shift allowance)
Role: Permanent Full-time
Location: Nottingham (On-site)
Shift Pattern (As of April): Weekly rotating shifts: 05:45–14:00 (mornings), 13:45–21:30 (afternoons), 20:00–06:00 (nights)
Responsibilities:
- Follow all site safety rules, policies and legal requirements (including COSHH and Health & Safety at Work Act).
- Maintain compliance with BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001 and BS EN 9100 standards.
- Operate production equipment efficiently while reducing waste and cost.
- Support ongoing improvements to products, processes and procedures.
- Maintain excellent levels of cleanliness, orderliness and equipment care.
- Assist with general factory duties across the site & contribute to site security as required.
- Participate in all training provided by the company.
- Support Team Leaders and colleagues to ensure smooth shift operations.
Requirements:
- Experience working within a production, manufacturing or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Basic numeracy & computer literacy skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team and independently once trained.
