We’re partnering with a rapidly growing biotechnology company at the forefront of RNA sequencing innovation. Combining advanced bioinformatics with cutting-edge molecular science, this organisation is developing next-generation tools for biomarker discovery and transcriptomic analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing large-scale transcriptomic data analyses using advanced bioinformatics tools and pipelines.
  • Building, optimising, and maintaining robust data analysis software and cloud-based workflows.
  • Ensuring quality and reproducibility through strong data standards and QC processes.
  • Guiding and supporting junior bioinformaticians and data analysts through code reviews and collaboration.
  • Leading complex analysis projects from data processing to interpretation and visualisation.

Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in bioinformatics and genomic data analysis, including transcriptomic data processing.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and R.
  • Solid understanding of bioinformatics algorithms, pipelines, and databases.
  • Experience with RNA-related bioinformatics (differential expression, transcriptome assembly, pathway or functional annotation).
  • Exposure to long-read sequencing (Oxford Nanopore preferred).
  • Experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with AWS/cloud computing and workflow tools (e.g. Nextflow).
  • Proficiency with Git/GitHub version control.
