We’re partnering with a global name in pharmaceutical innovation to recruit a Formulation Development Scientist. This is a hands-on, lab-based opportunity where you’ll play a key role in developing cutting-edge oral dosage forms. You'll support product innovation, customer projects, and applications development, while working with a collaborative and empowering technical team. About the Role

As a Formulation Development Scientist, you'll join a specialist team focused on solid oral dosage form innovation. Working closely with technical managers and the regional field force, you’ll create and test prototype formulations, assess new excipients, and generate technical data that supports both customer applications and internal innovation. This role also involves supporting education events, presenting findings, and helping ensure equipment and laboratory standards are consistently high.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test formulations for tablets and capsules from lab scale through to production.
  • Support customer projects in the Formulation Centre of Excellence or regional laboratories.
  • Collaborate on innovation projects and contribute to new product development.
  • Generate high-quality technical reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operate and maintain lab and analytical equipment in line with safety and quality standards.
  • Contribute to training, demonstrations, and technical education events.
  • Source and manage lab materials and consumables.

What You’ll Need

  • A degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience with solid oral dosage forms (formulation, development, or applications support).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use and maintain lab instrumentation.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – for technical reporting and presentations.
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working on innovation projects.

  • Bonus: 6% target annual bonus
  • Location: Kent
