A rapidly growing clean-energy engineering business is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Team Manager to lead a specialist team delivering industrial electrical design and project support. The role combines hands-on technical work with line management, ensuring high-quality, compliant electrical solutions across R&D and live projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and allocate resources within the Electrical Engineering team
- Ensure engineering quality, safety and compliance across all deliverables
- Define system-level electrical architectures and produce schematics & documentation
- Specify electrical components and generate manufacturing packages
- Support integration, commissioning, and fault-finding activities
- Contribute to safety reviews (HAZOP, FMEA, SIL etc.)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and present to stakeholders
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Strong industrial electrical design experience (control panels, wiring, instrumentation)
- Knowledge of BS7671:2018 & EN 60204
- Functional safety experience (EN 61511)
- PLC systems β ideally Siemens
- ATEX experience beneficial
- Hands-on testing and problem-solving ability
- Able to travel internationally when required
