A growing clean-energy engineering business is looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineering Manager to take ownership of electrical design across new product development and live engineering projects. You’ll be working on real, physical systems including hydrogen power systems and ammonia cracking technology taking designs from concept through to build, test and deployment.
This role is ideal for a strong senior engineer ready to step up, or an existing manager or leader who still wants to stay close to the engineering.
- Designing and reviewing electrical schematics and control panels.
- Defining system-level electrical architectures.
- Producing electrical design and manufacturing documentation.
- Supporting build, integration, commissioning and FAT.
- Specifying electrical components (motors, protection, instrumentation, cabling).
This is a hands-on engineering role, not a management-only position.
- Strong experience in electrical design for industrial systems or equipment.
- Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SEE Electrical or similar.
- Experience working on complex engineered systems.
- Exposure to PLC-based systems (Siemens preferred).
- Comfortable with build, testing and fault finding.
- Work on cutting-edge hydrogen and ammonia energy technology.
- Be the technical lead for electrical design.
- Join a growing team moving from prototype to commercial deployment.
