Our client in the animal health sector is offering an exciting opportunity to receive full training in validation processes. This role is ideal for a recent science graduate seeking their first position or an individual with prior lab experience looking to transition into a validation-focused role.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Senior QV Specialist to ensure all equipment operates in compliance with GMP regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Contribute to initiatives focused on improving equipment performance, validation processes, and maintenance procedures.
- Provide evidence of compliance with validation and maintenance requirements during internal and external audits.
- Equipment Validation
- Conduct validation activities to ensure all equipment functions according to design and maintains required environmental conditions.
- Prepare and review validation protocol documentation in line with SOPs and validation plans.
- Perform validation and qualification of temperature-controlled equipment.
- Document and investigate validation deviations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Monitor and manage the validation schedule to ensure timely completion of required activities.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Perform regular maintenance checks, ensuring temperature-controlled systems operate efficiently and comply with regulatory and safety standards.
- Document weekly, monthly, and ad hoc maintenance and health & safety checks for all equipment and systems.
- Operate and calibrate the temperature monitoring system.
- Maintain the PPM software, ensuring accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Analyse temperature-controlled area data to identify trends or deviations affecting equipment performance or product quality.
- Coordinate maintenance activities during shutdowns and ensure timely completion of scheduled tasks.
- Oversee external contractors conducting calibration and maintenance, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all temperature-controlled equipment is validated and calibrated before due dates, maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Support & Additional Responsibilities
- Safeguard product quality by ensuring equipment operates within validated parameters.
- Assist with operational projects, urgent maintenance tasks, and ad hoc requests to support the success of the business.
- BSc in a science subject.
- Familiarity with GMP production.
- Knowledge and/or experience in validation processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Positive attitude toward learning new skills and adapting to new processes.
- Awareness and understanding of safety standards.
- Full training will be provided.
