Technical Project Lead – Medical Devices

Medical Device Experience Essential

Location: Norfolk

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Reporting to: Head of Programmes

The Opportunity

We are supporting an innovative organisation within the medical device sector in the search for a Technical Project Lead.

This role will take ownership of assigned development programmes and project workstreams, coordinating cross-functional activities from concept through to industrialisation and manufacturing transfer. Working closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing partners and suppliers, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and to the required quality standards.

This position would suit an individual with a medical device development background who has progressed into project leadership and enjoys driving programme delivery within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned project workstreams across medical device development programmes.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, quality, suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Drive project timelines, actions, risks and technical deliverables.
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Support verification, qualification, industrialisation and manufacturing transfer activities.
  • Maintain project and development documentation in line with quality system requirements.
  • Identify and help resolve technical and operational issues impacting delivery.
  • Engage with suppliers, manufacturing partners and customers to support programme execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project and engineering processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience within the medical device industry.
  • Experience leading or coordinating technical projects across the product development lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of medical device development, verification, industrialisation and manufacturing transfer activities.
  • Knowledge of design controls and quality management systems within a regulated environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with combination products.
  • Formal project management qualification or training.
