Quality Manager – Manufacturing / Engineering Location: Telford Salary: £40,000 Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday–Thursday 7:30am–5:00pm, Friday 7:30am–11:30am (some flexibility available) We’re working exclusively with an established and growing manufacturing business in Telford to recruit a hands-on Quality Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to take ownership of the Quality function, leading a small team of two (Quality Lead and Quality Inspector) whilst working closely with Production and Sales to drive quality standards, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Manage and continually improve the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Lead and develop the Quality team, maintaining a hands-on approach to day-to-day activities Manage internal, external and customer audits Investigate non-conformances, lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Oversee calibration, document control and quality KPI reporting Collaborate with Production and Sales to resolve quality issues and meet customer requirements Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes Support supplier and customer quality assurance activities About You: Quality Management experience within a manufacturing environment (essential) Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 (advantageous) IATF 16949 Internal Auditor qualification (advantageous) Experience with problem-solving techniques, corrective actions and continuous improvement Previous experience supervising or managing a small team Confident working directly with production teams, customers and suppliers Knowledge of PPAP documentation and customer-specific quality requirements would be advantageous What's on Offer? £40,000 salary Early finish every Friday (11:30am) Healthcare cash plan 24/7 wellbeing support Training and development opportunities Opportunity to take ownership of Quality within a growing manufacturing business This position would suit a practical, proactive Quality Manager who enjoys being involved on the shop floor rather than working purely from a desk.
