Location: Aylesford, Kent (Hybrid)

Salary: £22,800 – £28,800 (21 hours per week)

Equivalent Full-Time Salary: £38,000 – £48,000

Hours: 21 hours per week

Working Pattern Preferred: 3 full days per week (8am–4pm or 9am–5pm). Flexible working pattern considered (e.g. shorter hours across more days). One working day must be Monday. Up to 1 day working from home available.

The Role

We are seeking a Supplier Quality & Procurement Specialist to support purchasing, supplier management and quality activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality and Operations teams, you will ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently, supplier performance is maintained, and compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing and planning activities through the ERP system.
  • Source and procure materials, services and equipment to support manufacturing operations.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts and supplier agreements.
  • Support supplier onboarding, qualification, audits and performance management.
  • Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and records.
  • Support quality, customer and regulatory audits.
  • Assist with CAPAs, change controls, deviations and other QMS activities.
  • Monitor supply risks and identify alternative sourcing solutions where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Support KPI reporting, data analysis and cross-functional projects.

About You

Essential

  • Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, planning or supply chain.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of supplier management and procurement processes.
  • Experience using ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 desirable).
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment (GMP preferred).
  • Knowledge of supplier quality processes, QMS and audits.
  • Understanding of risk management tools such as FMEA.
  • CIPS qualification or working towards one.
