The Role
As Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll support teams across the business to maintain and improve health, safety and compliance standards. This includes conducting audits, delivering briefings, supporting incident investigations and championing a strong safety culture across all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out site audits and inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Support managers and site teams with practical H&S advice.
- Lead or support investigations into incidents and near misses.
- Review and prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Deliver Toolbox Talks, bulletins, and safety briefings.
- Promote a proactive and positive health & safety culture.
- Engage with subcontractors, clients and stakeholders on H&S matters.
- Maintain accurate records in line with legislative requirements.
What You’ll Need
Essential:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
- Solid knowledge of UK H&S legislation
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Full UK driving licence
- Confidence working with site teams and senior management
Desirable:
- Construction or infrastructure industry experience
- Audit or report writing skills
- Flexible, self-motivated and organised
