Job Description

Stores Controller\\n\\nLocation: Witney, Oxford\\n\\nSalary: £27,000 – £29,000 per year (Overtime available during busy periods)\\n\\nOur engineering client based near Oxford is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Controller to join their busy and well-organised production team. This is a hands-on role supporting the flow of parts and materials across the workshop – ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and a background in engineering or manufacturing.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nWork alongside another trained Stores team member to manage day-to-day operations in the Stores department.\\n\\nAccurately book parts in and out, following established procedures while maintaining a strong focus on safety.\\n\\nLiaise regularly with the Production Manager and Purchaser to provide updates based on workload and picking lists\\n\\nOrganise and track components at various production stages, including loading/unloading stillages and managing the vertical storage conveyors.\\n\\nCommunicate effectively with colleagues and build good working relationships across departments.\\n\\nLearn to identify components that make up kits of parts for production.\\n\\nMonitor stock levels, identify shortfalls, and report them in a timely manner.\\n\\nUpdate stock information daily on Tricorn to ensure Production always has the latest data.\\n\\nHandle goods manually and operate lifting equipment when required.\\n\\nPerform visual quality checks on stock received from subcontractors or in-house production.\\n\\nOperate cleaning machinery based on workflow demands.\\n\\nSupport with ad hoc tasks as needed.\\nKey Skills & Experience:\\n\\nA general engineering background is highly desirable.\\n\\nAbility to stay organised and work efficiently under pressure.\\n\\nStrong communication skills with a proactive approach to tasks.\\n\\nGood computer literacy and accuracy with numbers.\\n\\nPhysically fit and comfortable with manual handling.\\nHours of Work:\\n\\nMonday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm\\n\\nFriday: 8:00am – 3:30pm\\n\\nOvertime and Saturday mornings may be required during busy periods.\\nInterested?\\n\\nIf you're ready to roll your sleeves up and take ownership of this key support role, apply today to join a business that values precision, teamwork, and a job well done
