I’m currently recruiting for a Regulatory Specialist to join an innovative and growing organisation within the animal nutrition sector. This role offers the opportunity to support regulatory activities for a global product portfolio while collaborating closely with technical and R&D teams. It would suit someone with a scientific background and early career experience in food or feed environments who is keen to develop their expertise in regulatory affairs.
The Role
As a Regulatory Specialist, you will help ensure products meet regulatory requirements across global markets while supporting both existing products and new product development. Working within a collaborative technical team, you will contribute to regulatory strategies, maintain product documentation, and assist with compliance across the product lifecycle. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality, production, procurement and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Support regulatory activities for an established animal nutrition product portfolio
- Assist with preparation and submission of regulatory dossiers for product registrations and renewals
- Maintain product certifications and accreditations, including organic standards
- Prepare, review and manage technical documentation such as labels and data sheets
- Provide regulatory input during new product development activities
- Work with R&D teams on trials and regulatory requirements linked to product approval
- Respond to technical and regulatory queries from internal teams
- Contribute to internal reports and regulatory documentation as required
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (such as Animal Science, Biological Sciences or similar)
- Around 1–2 years’ experience within a food, feed or nutrition environment
- Knowledge or interest in food safety or feed safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Desirable
- Experience with regulatory processes in food or feed sectors
- Knowledge of fermentation processes, silage inoculants or related microbiological manufacturing processes

Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £36,000 – £40,000
- Bonus: Up to 10% performance bonus
- Pension: 7% employer contribution / minimum 1% employee contribution (with option to increase)
