A well-established precision engineering company is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join their manufacturing team. The business produces high-precision components for technically demanding industries and operates a modern, well-equipped machine shop. This role will involve programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines, producing complex components to tight tolerances while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Role: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Oxfordshire, commutable from Oxford, Didcot, Abingdon, Witney, Banbury & Swindon

Salary: £. Competitive + Benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Program, set and operate CNC milling machines.
  • Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings.
  • Produce components to tight tolerances.
  • Create tooling layouts and setup documentation.
  • Inspect completed components using measurement equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
  • Support continuous improvement within the machine shop.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience programming and operating CNC milling machines.
  • Experience with 3, 4 or 5-axis machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience producing parts to tight tolerances.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
  • Positive and reliable approach to work.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Heidenhain or Fanuc controls.
  • Experience machining larger or complex components.
