Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent. Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

We are supporting a global manufacturer specialising in advanced material solutions supplied into highly regulated and technically demanding sectors, including aerospace, automotive and industrial markets. Due to continued growth and investment, an opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join the site quality team. This position will play a key role in supporting product conformity, customer requirements and continuous improvement activities across manufacturing and supply chain operations. This opportunity would suit an individual with experience in quality, manufacturing or materials engineering who enjoys problem solving, analysing data and collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support quality activities across manufacturing and operational teams
  • Ensure compliance with AS9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
  • Generate, review and maintain internal quality documentation and product control documentation (PCDs)
  • Support new product introduction activities and implementation of quality standards
  • Develop and manage supplier specifications and quality requirements
  • Investigate product issues and non-conformances, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Assist with Operational Change Control activities
  • Analyse quality and process performance data using statistical techniques
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across site operations
  • Support internal, customer and supplier audits
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, compliance and safe working practices

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or quality-focused environment
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret technical information and work with mathematical and statistical data
  • Experience investigating quality issues and supporting corrective and preventive actions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer and supplier visits

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within aerospace, composites, chemicals, polymers or advanced manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of AS9001 or other regulated quality management systems
  • Internal auditing experience
  • Exposure to supplier quality, process improvement or continuous improvement activities
