Chemical Technician Department: Research & Development About the Role A global leader in the chemical sector is looking for a proactive and detail-driven Chemical Technician to support its Research & Development operations. The successful candidate will work in a modern laboratory environment, performing testing, analysis, and reporting to help develop and deliver innovative chemical solutions. Key Responsibilities Conduct a variety of laboratory tests following established industry and company procedures. Prepare chemical components, additive blends, and formulations for internal and customer-focused testing. Carry out preliminary analysis, interpret data, and produce accurate reports and documentation. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Set up and monitor product stability and compatibility studies, recording and communicating findings. Manage small-scale technical projects from start to finish in line with agreed timelines. Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant working environment, adhering to relevant health, safety, and quality standards (including ISO). Ensure adequate stock levels of samples and laboratory consumables. Continue to build technical expertise through training and professional development. Skills & Experience Degree qualification in Chemistry or closely related. Previous laboratory or chemistry-related experience is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Competent user of Microsoft Office tools. Commitment to safe laboratory practices and quality standards. Preferred A relevant qualification in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
