We’re working closely with a highly respected boutique financial planning firm to help them appoint a Paraplanner to join their growing team. This firm is completely independent and prides itself on delivering truly holistic, whole-of-market financial planning, built on strong, long-standing relationships with its clients.
This is a company that puts client care at the heart of everything it does — and they extend that same care and thoughtfulness to their team. With a fantastic internal structure, a well-run back-office system, and regular 1:1s focused on wellbeing and professional development, this is a workplace where you’ll feel valued and supported.
We’ve placed team members here previously, and they are still thriving — a true reflection of the firm’s excellent culture, collaborative environment, and clear communication.
About the Role
This opportunity would suit either:
- A junior paraplanner looking to grow their technical capabilities, enhance their suitability report writing, and gain broader exposure to the planning process.
- Or an experienced paraplanner who enjoys working closely with advisers and wants to focus on meaningful, client-led work — without the distractions of administration.
You’ll be joining a paraplanning team of three, supporting four financial advisers, and will be involved in a broad mix of client work from across the adviser team. With full administrative support, you’ll be able to focus on delivering high-quality, compliant, and insightful technical input that helps shape clients’ financial futures.
Pathway to Advice
For those with aspirations to become a financial adviser, this firm actively supports internal progression. You’ll be given exposure to client scenarios, technical challenges, and adviser collaboration that naturally lead into the skills needed for advice. In time, there is a clear pathway to transition into an adviser role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing suitability reports, technical documents, and cashflow models.
- Collaborating with advisers to develop and deliver tailored client financial plans.
- Participating in internal planning discussions and working on a variety of cases from all four advisers.
- Ensuring compliant and accurate output with support from a strong administration team.
- Continuously developing your own technical and regulatory knowledge with encouragement and support.
What They’re Looking For
- Experience in a paraplanning or technical support role within an IFA or financial planning firm.
- Ideally working towards (or holding) the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a client-first approach.
- A desire to grow – whether that’s as a stronger paraplanner or eventually as a financial adviser.
Why This Firm?
- Boutique feel with a tight-knit, friendly, and highly professional team.
- Excellent systems and processes to make your job smoother and more efficient.
- Genuine commitment to wellbeing and personal development, with regular check-ins and supportive leadership.
- Clear career progression, with the option to move into advice if desired.
- Fantastic benefits: 6% pension, private medical, life cover, 25 days holiday, discretionary bonuses.
