Senior Paraplanner | City of London | Β£50,000βΒ£65,000
9β5 working hours | Hybrid β 2 days from home
Are you an experienced Paraplanner who enjoys getting involved in complex financial planning and being the technical expert within a team?
Would you like to work closely with Advisers, contribute to client meetings and mentor junior colleagues, rather than simply producing reports from instructions?
And if you'd like to move into Financial Advice, would you value a business with a proven track record of developing its Paraplanners into Advisers?
The Company
Join a boutique Chartered wealth planning firm based in a modern WeWork office near Bank. You'll be part of a close-knit team of eight, working collaboratively with the Lead Adviser, Director and another Adviser.
The Role
This is a senior technical position where your knowledge will genuinely influence the advice process. You'll help shape recommendations, act as a technical sounding board for Advisers and support the development of junior Paraplanners and Administrators.
Your work will include:
- Complex financial planning, including cash flow modelling and Inheritance Tax planning.
- Researching and challenging recommendations across pensions, investments and wider planning.
- Preparing suitability reports and supporting documentation.
- Attending client meetings and contributing your technical expertise.
- Mentoring colleagues and sharing your knowledge across the team.
Progression into Financial Advice
If you'd like to remain a career Paraplanner, you can become a key technical figure within the business. However, if your ambition is to become an Adviser, there's a genuine opportunity to make that move.
The Adviser has a proven track record of progressing the Paraplanners they've supported into Adviser roles and is keen to offer the same opportunity to this person, with a view to progressing into advice within the next couple of years.
