We are an inclusive,nurturing school looking for the right person to join our friendly teamas a Learning Support Assistant, supporting children with additional needs.
The successful candidate will be required to support childrenwith additional SEND – physical, academic and/or social/emotional and althoughinitially in year one, you should be prepared to work throughout the primaryage range. A trusting, positive relationshipwill be essential in ensuring the best progress so the successful candidatewill need anenthusiastic and nurturing approach. You will have high expectations oflearning for both self and others, and passionately believe that every childcan achieve and reach their potential. At times this will include working 1:1 orwith groups or classes of children under the guidance of the Class Teacher andSpecial Educational Needs Coordinator. Full training will be provided for allaspects of this role.We are particularlylooking for someone who:
- Has some experience of working with children with additional needs, or inprimary schools.
- Has problem-solving skills, resilience, is flexible, positive andwilling to go ‘over and above’ as part of the team.
- Is inventive and creative, with the enthusiasm and initiative to createfun learning experiences.
