Hours of work: 37 hours per week, normally worked Monday to Friday. Flexible working will be considered.

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: Full time starting salary is normally in the range of £37,897 to £45,580 per annum with potential progression up to £52,067 per annum

About the Role

Our Business Partnering team provides commercially focused and performance-driven HR support, partnering with stakeholders to identify and implement people solutions that directly contribute to revenue growth, operational efficiency, and a high-performance culture. We are committed to measurable impact and strategic value. The team provides a range of support to stakeholders covering a wide variety of people matters, focussed on supporting commercial success.

About You

You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a good knowledge of employment law and demonstrate a practical, proactive and flexible approach to your work. You should have the ability to prioritise effectively and to cope under pressure at busy times whilst keeping to deadlines. Team-working skills and a focus on customer service are also essential. You will be CIPD qualified and have proven experience operating at HR Business Partner level.

The People & Culture service provides a framework for the management and development of our people and organisation which underpins the University's strategic plan and objectives. The People & Culture PSU includes EDI, resourcing, talent management and development, compliance, administration, data management, policy development, employee relations, organisational change, performance enhancement and embedded people operational management. This position will be based in the Central People and Culture team, and embedded in several of our business areas. An opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused HR professional to join our busy team, supporting our Professional Service Units. You will deliver a partnering service to key customers across the University, providing first class customer service, and proficient business focussed advice and support.
