We’re looking for a creative Communications and Content Executive to deliver engaging, multi‑channel content and communications designed to connect, celebrate and inspire Cranfield University’s global alumni community.
About the Role
The Communications and Content Executive delivers high‑quality, multi‑channel communications that support Cranfield University’s engagement priorities, with a particular emphasis on alumni communications. Working closely with colleagues across Communications and External Affairs, the role creates and delivers content and campaigns designed to strengthen our connections with our global alumni community; promote alumni engagement; services; volunteering; and fundraising activity; always ensuring content and communications are audience‑focused, on‑brand and aligned with the University’s wider strategic objectives.
About You
We’re looking for a confident communications professional. Ideally educated to degree level (or with equivalent experience) you’ll have proven experience delivering multi‑channel digital communications, content and social media activity in a large or complex organisation. You will bring strong copywriting, copyediting and storytelling skills, experience using content management systems, social media scheduling and reporting tools, and digital editing software such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, alongside excellent IT skills including Microsoft 365.
A strong understanding of communications planning, contemporary social media and audience‑focused content is essential, as is up‑to‑date GDPR knowledge and the ability to work sensitively in a confidential environment. You will be highly organised, collaborative and adaptable, with excellent relationship‑building skills and the ability to translate complex information into engaging, accessible content.
Experience in Higher Education or the charity sector, Google Analytics, HTML, and supporting crisis communications is desirable.
