Role Description
Cranfield Airport is a commercial, research and General Aviation (GA) airport situated between Bedford and Milton Keynes, and is the home base to many corporate and private aircraft owners.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Airport Operations & Fuel Officer to work efficiently within a small airport team including Operations, Fuel, Air Traffic Control, Engineering, Fire Fighting, and Safety sections.
This role will be required to carry out Airport Operations, Aircraft Fueling and associated airport administration. This will include Airport document control, including monitoring of Regulatory compliance aspects and formally issuing documentation, ensuring crane permit applications are being charged via Airport Accounts, raising/requesting purchase orders, as well as general office management tasks. After successful completion of training, you will act as Duty Airport Operations Manager and will be responsible for undertaking movement area inspections.
The role will be predominantly Operations-based with adhoc Aircraft Refueling as required in support of the Fuel team.
Reporting to the Airport Operations & Fuel Manager, you will need to be a well organised individual to ensure that the various operations at Cranfield runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Aircraft flying schedules will rely heavily on the individual ensuring that aircraft are refuelled in a timely manner. You must have the ability to prioritise your workload and work under pressure.
You will have a good standard of education to include GSCE English and Mathematics with experience of supporting the efficient delivery of projects. You will posess a variety of online IT skills including video conferencing, workflow management and document control. You will be a highly self-motivated individual with a proactive approach and able to communicate effectively at all levels within a diverse working environment.
You will also hold a valid UK Driving Licence and HGV Class 1
