The warehouse operative processes orders, accepts deliveries, and keeps the warehouse organised, which includes everything from physically moving product around the warehouse space and recording these movements to properly maintaining all shipping and receiving records.

General Duties

  • Operates a forklift and preferable reach truck licensed.
  • Must meet quality and productivity metrics.
  • Receiving and Put away.
  • Picking and Packing.
  • Loading and Unloading.
  • Complete paperwork thoroughly and promptly.
  • Accurately and courteously load client merchandise.
  • Escalate all issues with a shipment immediately to the account coordinator to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Manage all task requests and follow up to ensure that client needs are met.
  • Responsible for accurate inventory and locations in warehouse and the WMS system Footprint.
  • Organising Inbound and Outbound freight and staging them in their designated areas.
  • Reports to warehouse team leader or management to alert them of any issues with shipping or receiving.
  • Keeps warehouse area clean and organised.
  • Follow Health & Safety guidance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

  • Warehouse: 1-2 years (Required)

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Balances individual responsibilities.
  • Consistently at work and on time.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 25 kilos and occasionally lift and/or move 25 kilos by hand.
  • Warehouse temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled, unless the product being stored requires that the maintenance of a specific temperature.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and/or Reach truck and become certified by Crane Worldwide.
