The Warehouse Operative works directly with a client or group of clients in providing dedicated warehouse and operations support.
Essential Job Functions
- Accurately and courteously load client merchandise.
- Complete paperwork thoroughly and promptly.
- Act as contact with client on site and be available to the client for escalation when necessary.
- Work closely with Crane Worldwide Operations teams and assist with coordinating freight movements.
- Escalate all issues with a shipment immediately to the client to ensure prompt resolution.
- Ensure job files are created and all relevant information is captured.
- Manage all client requests and follow up to ensure that client needs are met.
- Responsible for managing client reports and assuring accuracy.
- Supervise loading and unloading by external white glove teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Stand or sit for long periods of time.
- Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance.
- Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.
- Ability to drive a forklift and become certified by Crane Worldwide.
Other Skills / Abilities
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
- Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Three years related experience preferred.
- Minimum one year industry experience preferred.
