Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead operations team and disseminate activities on a day-to-day basis.
• Drive product KPI compliance and milestone updates.
• Support relationships with key customers and suppliers, resolving concerns and interacting with customer service, operations, and sales personnel to resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
• Lead Customs operations and execution across the entire country.
• Coordinate all transnational operations (Export, Import, and Customs activities), adhering to regulations and internal procedures.
• Ensure all Operations teams meet customer requirements and take corrective actions in case of deviations from requirements.
• Provide guidelines to Export, Import, and Gateway to ensure transactional operations are consistent with group business strategy and compliant with the local business environment.
• Monitor quality and adherence to standards, responsible for constant improvement and optimisation of product means.
• Develop a high-performance service culture within the Export and Import Departments.
• Ensure realisation of budgetary performance by setting and monitoring clear objectives.
• Manage interface with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centres as required.
• Directly support, negotiate, and administer contracts with Airlines and vendors supporting the Air Product.
• Develop and oversee the Air procurement strategy, approach, and business rules for carrier selection and utilisation.
• Lead and direct engagement with carrier performance management.
• Lead and direct station Exports, Imports, and Energy personnel on observance of operating plans supporting the air product.
• Accountable for results of a large multi-category department, supply chain, or complex product lines, ensuring that performance meets overall business needs, including strategy, cost, cost savings, direction, and people management.
• Ensure performance meets overall business needs at a global and regional level.

• Talking, hearing, and using hands to operate computer equipment.
• Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree/Business or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 4-5 years direct experience and working knowledge of customs and brokerage entry processing.
• Minimum of 4 years' work experience relative to trade compliance.

Certificate

• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
