This position supports import clearance by managing import communications, reviewing invoices and tariff codes, ensuring documentation accuracy, maintaining records, and following established procedures to ensure timely clearance.
Essential Job Functions
- Monitoring the import mailbox.
- Respond to internal & external stakeholders.
- Dealing with queries timely.
- Review invoices and assign import tariff & customs procedure codes.
- Checking invoices to make sure all other information is present to support an import clearance.
- Providing import clearance instructions to the party responsible for import clearance.
- Support with classification of import tariff codes.
- Manage log data entry.
- File management to support archiving of email communication and documents relating to a shipment's clearance.
- Interrogate systems to support investigation.
- Follow established work instructions, processes and procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
