Who are you
We’re looking for a hands-on contractor who enjoys delivering a high-quality onboarding experience for our customers. You’ll support the team with clearly scoped work, bringing practical judgement, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
You’ll have most of the following:
- Experience working in a practical financial crime prevention role, ideally within customer onboarding
- Confidence communicating with customers, clearly explaining what’s needed and how Griffin will support them
- Experience carrying out enhanced customer due diligence across a range of business types
- A customer-focused, empathetic approach, with a genuine desire to provide clear and supportive interactions
- Clear and concise written communication skills
- Sound judgement, with the ability to balance established processes with thoughtful, pragmatic improvements
As a Fincrime Contractor, you’ll support a defined piece of work within our onboarding and financial crime operations. You’ll help us deliver against clear goals and timelines, ensuring everything meets Griffin’s financial crime standards and regulatory requirements.
Day to day you will:
- Support new customers as they get set up, carrying out KYC/CDD checks and helping them move through onboarding smoothly and efficiently
- Collect, review, and manage customer documentation, acting as a point of contact for customer cases while ensuring data protection and reporting requirements are met
- Contribute to reporting and use insights to improve our onboarding journey and financial crime controls
- Support ongoing customer due diligence, including periodic reviews and enhanced checks where needed
- Work on fraud claims by liaising between our customers and the Payment Service Providers
- Review alerts and transactions to spot activity that doesn’t look right, investigating potential issues and supporting the submission of SARs to the National Crime Agency
- Share ideas and constructively challenge how things are done, helping us make meaningful improvements during the course of the contract
What can we offer you?
Salary: £150 - 200 per day (outside IR35)
Contract length: 3 months
Remote-first flexibility - work from anywhere in the UK
As a bank, we’re committed to maintaining the highest standards of security. The successful candidate will need to complete background screening, and our offer will be conditional upon satisfactory review of these checks.
