Our services include selling JMG electric pick-and-carry deck cranes, tower crane sales and rentals, and providing overhead cranes, construction elevators, and spreaders. Additionally, we offer comprehensive inspections, service, and support for a wide range of crane types. We are hiring a full-time Field Service Technician to perform on-site equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections in Portsmouth, VA. Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
  • Conducting scheduled inspections
  • Repairing or replacing faulty components
  • Ensuring all equipment adheres to safety and operational standards
  • Maintaining detailed records of maintenance and repair work
  • Collaborating with the service team
  • Providing excellent customer support during field visits

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on skills in repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of crane systems, including inspections, lifting mechanisms, and industry regulations
  • Proficiency in diagnosing issues using tools, manuals, and diagnostic equipment
  • Attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and ability to document inspections and repairs accurately
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills with the ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally as required
  • Technical training or certification in mechanics, electrical systems, or related fields is a plus
