The job holder is responsible for co-ordinating and implementing process improvements, driving quality, productivity and efficiency, and the introduction of standard work and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing, validating, and optimizing CNC machining programs to enable the precise manufacture of customer‐specific components.
- Develop manufacturing routings and design tooling/fixturing solutions to enhance process capability and optimise production flow.
- Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance process capability and performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth metrics.
- Drive proactive health and safety management, supporting process improvements that enhance workplace safety performance and reduce operational risk.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain Standard Work documentation to support process control, repeatability, and continuous improvement.
- Create, manage, and revise Work Instructions and SOPs to ensure robust process documentation, regulatory compliance, and consistent operational execution.
- Lead COPQ analysis and reduction initiatives to identify quality‐related losses and implement corrective actions that improve overall operational performance.
- Manage the receipt and logging of customer complaints, ensuring accurate documentation within the quality management system for effective follow‐up and analysis.
- Develop and document root‐cause analysis for customer complaints and internal non‐conformances in line with IATF 16949 problem‐solving expectations, supporting closure of corrective actions and continual improvement.
- Provide customers with feedback on the corrective actions implemented in response to their complaints.
- Perform quality audits within the Value Stream.
- Driving productivity improvements through waste reduction.

- Support the TPM program.
- Support 5S deployment and housekeeping improvement initiatives to enhance workplace organisation and process efficiency.
- Assist with budgetary control and management of small tools and production equipment.
- Assist with subcontract processes and provide supply chain support.
- Management and co-ordination of new product introduction.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) in mechanical engineering.
- Proven track record of manufacturing / engineering experience.
- Proficient in writing CNC machine programs using G‐Code and SolidCAM.
- Experienced in operating 5 axis milling machines, with Mazak experience considered essential.
- Experience in operating turning machines.
- Familiarity with Mazatrol, Heidenhain and Fanuc CNC Control Systems is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
