Overview

We are seeking experienced Class 1 Welders qualified to BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017 to join our Water manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, fabrication activities, machine set‑up and operation, while ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out MAG welding of mild steel components to approved procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform fabrication and assembly activities in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery as required.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated assemblies to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and productivity always.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and quality personnel to achieve production targets.

Essential Requirements

  • Current BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017 Class 1 welding qualification.
  • Proven experience in MAG welding of mild steel within a fabrication, pressure vessel, or pipe welding environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience of working with a variety of fabrication and welding equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection standards and welding documentation.
  • TIG welding experience on stainless steel is highly desirable and will attract a higher rate of pay.
