We’re working with a growing digital agency that is looking for a Senior Developer with strong Magento experience to join its technical team at a pivotal stage of growth. This is not a standard “sit in a corner and churn out tickets” developer role. You’ll be joining a business that is taking ownership of a major client-side systems project involving ERP, CRM, middleware, APIs, SQL databases, telephony systems and wider software integrations. The immediate focus will be supporting business-critical CRM integrations, data projects, internal systems and selected agency-side web/Magento work. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and be part of a small, high-impact development function where your input will genuinely shape how systems are built, integrated and improved.
What you’ll be doing
- You’ll be working across a mix of Magento, SQL, ERP, CRM and full-stack development projects, with responsibilities including:
- Working with SQL databases, data structures and system integrations
- Building and maintaining custom middleware between platforms
- Integrating third-party systems through APIs
- Supporting CRM-related projects, including platforms such as HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce
- Working across Magento-based web projects where required
- Helping connect ERP, CRM, ecommerce, accountancy and telephony platforms
- Working closely with internal stakeholders and clients to understand technical requirements
- Being part of a new systems-focused team that will support major long-term client projects
What we’re looking for
- We’re looking for a strong developer who enjoys solving real business problems, not just writing isolated code. You’ll ideally have:
- Strong experience with Magento
- Solid hands-on experience with SQL
- Good full-stack web development knowledge
- Experience integrating systems through APIs
- Knowledge of CRM, ERP or business-critical software platforms
- Experience with middleware, custom integrations or data migration projects
- A practical, problem-solving mindset
- The ability to work in a fast-moving agency-style environment
- Confidence communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Around 3+ years’ commercial development experience, although attitude and capability matter more than years on paper
- Experience in a digital agency, ecommerce, software integration or systems environment would be highly beneficial.
Nice to have
- ERP takeover, migration or re-platforming experience
- Experience with HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce or similar platforms
- Background working with accountancy, telephony or operational business systems
- Previous experience working in a small technical team where you’ve had real ownership
This is a chance to join a growing digital agency at a key point in its journey, with a major systems project already in motion and further long-term client work likely to follow. You’ll have the opportunity to work on meaningful, business-critical projects rather than repetitive maintenance work, and you’ll be part of a team that values practical delivery, ownership and common sense. For a developer who enjoys Magento, systems integration, SQL and solving complex technical problems, this is a rare opportunity to step into a role with real variety and long-term progression.
