Ecommerce Manager
Essex | Office-based
£45,000 - £60,000
I'm partnering with an established retail business to find an E-Commerce Manager who can take ownership of a growing DTC channel and help shape the next stage of its online growth.
The Shopify site already has a solid trading base, but there is a lot more that can be done across trading, CRO, digital marketing, retention and new channel development. Amazon is also a key part of the plan, so this is a good opportunity for someone who wants to build that channel properly rather than inherit something already fixed in place.
Why this role is exciting
- Take ownership of an established Shopify site with clear scope to improve performance, conversion and revenue
- Join at a point where DTC is becoming a bigger focus, so your work will directly influence how the channel develops
- Build out Amazon as a new sales channel, with the chance to shape how it is set up and scaled
- Have direct access to senior decision-makers, so ideas can be discussed quickly and moved forward
- Work in a hands-on role where you can own trading, performance, agencies, site improvements and channel growth
- Bring ideas around customer journey, acquisition, retention, merchandising and commercial opportunities
- Join a stable retail business with the backing, infrastructure and appetite to invest in online growth
- Step into a role with future scope as the channel grows and the business develops its e-commerce capability
What you'll be doing
- Owning the day-to-day trading performance of the Shopify site, looking at conversion, customer journey, product presentation and commercial opportunities.
- Managing site improvements across CRO, UX, merchandising, content and trading activity to help drive stronger online performance.
- Working with external agencies across paid media and SEO, making sure activity is joined up, commercially focused and delivering against clear goals.
- Using performance data to understand what is working, where the gaps are and what needs to change.
- Developing retention activity alongside acquisition, including campaigns, customer segmentation and email flows.
- Leading the set-up and growth of Amazon as a new channel, working out how to make it commercially viable and scalable.
- Working closely with internal teams and senior stakeholders to understand the product range, shape priorities and move projects forward.
What we're looking for
- E-commerce experience in a hands-on trading or site management role
- Strong Shopify experience, including site management, product set-up and optimisation
- Experience improving conversion, customer journey and online trading performance
- Good understanding of paid media, SEO and how to manage external agencies
- Comfortable using data, spreadsheets and performance reporting to make decisions
- Amazon Seller or marketplace experience would be highly beneficial
- Confident taking ownership in a role where there is plenty to build, improve and shape
If you're looking for an e-commerce role where you can take ownership of DTC growth, build out Amazon and have influence over what happens next, I'd love to tell you more.
