Your work will emphasize original attribution, accountability, and real-world impact within Ad Ageβs tech and brands coverage.

Responsibilities
- Break news and develop original stories through sustained sourcing across brands, agencies, platforms, and vendors
- Produce deeply reported pieces detailing tools, investments, challenges, and outcomes
- Create authoritative guides and explanatory journalism for marketers
- Source from documents, contracts, research, regulatory materials, and internal communications
- Identify consequential tech developments amidst a crowded AI/news cycle
- Translate complex subjects into clear journalism for executives and industry professionals
- Use data and external research to add context and rigor
- Develop evergreen coverage and opportunities for recurring Ad Age Intelligence products
- Collaborate with audience, data, visual and social teams to optimize presentation and distribution
Key requirements
- At least five years of professional reporting experience in AI, digital advertising, or platforms
- Proven ability to develop sources and generate original story ideas
- Strong news judgment and ability to separate meaningful developments from hype
- Experience explaining complex subjects clearly without oversimplification
- Interest in how technology affects business, organizations, workers and consumers
- Ability to report timely news and enterprise journalism
- Comfort with data, research, and regulatory materials
- Strong interviewing, writing, and organizational skills
