An integral part of a well-established privately-owned and highly successful multi-site Organisation who are renowned as the market leaders of products & services in the sectors in which they operate, our Client is a comparatively small, but very profitable, Distributor of Life Sciences Consumables, supplying a comprehensive range of premium quality branded products to an enviable long-standing client base of manufacturing organisations. With excellent support from its Parent Company, the Business’ success has been built on its agility and the quality of its products & customer service.

It is in this thriving context that a high calibre General Manager is now required. Reporting into the Parent Company Main Board and working closely with the Head of Sales, you will assume full responsibility for the Business’ operational and administration departments. Leading a team spanning Finance, Purchasing, Logistics/Supply Chain and Customer Services, you will develop & execute the Company’s business strategies; ensuring that customer expectations are exceeded whilst delivering better than budgeted cost performance.

Of Graduate calibre and probably a qualified/part-qualified Accountant, you will be both financially astute and commercially aware and will be able to demonstrate a successful Senior Management track record gained in a fast-paced, multi-product, Distributor environment. Possessing a strong working knowledge of ERP systems, you will be able to provide informed margin & data analysis. Entrepreneurial & decisive, you will be a motivational & empathetic leader; possessing the inter-personal skills necessary to communicate effectively at all levels, both externally and within the Organisation.
