We are now seeking a talented and versatile Mid to Senior level VFX Asset Generalist to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your technical and artistic expertise to a variety of projects, ensuring assets integrate seamlessly into our high-end pipelines.
The Asset Generalist will play a critical role in our production pipeline, responsible for creating high-quality 3D models, textures, and look-development for various assets, from characters and props to complex environments. You will work closely with Art Directors, VFX Supervisors, and department leads to ensure the highest quality of work is delivered on schedule.
What you would do:
- Model, texture, look-develop, and groom high-quality 3D assets, including characters, props, and environments, to meet project requirements.
- Ensure all assets meet the technical specifications and standards of the studio pipeline, including efficient topology, optimised UV layout, and shading.
- Ensure the artistic integrity and visual consistency of all assets throughout the production process.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, contributing to the development and refinement of asset creation workflows and tools.
- Manage asset versions effectively and maintain clear, consistent communication with production and team leads to ensure deadlines are met.
What you need:
- 3+ years (Mid Level) 5+ (Senior Level) of experience as a VFX Asset Generalist or similar role, demonstrated by a strong portfolio.
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Maya, Blender, Substance Painter/Designer, Mari, Z Brush). Houdini experience is a plus!
- Deep understanding of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflows.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and meet tight deadlines.
