Crafted is a series of life-friendly hotels and spaceswhere guests can be themselves and fill up on the good stuff: nature, food,wellbeing, craft, people and play. We hope to open several hotels in the comingyears, with our first coming in summer 2025: Crafted at Powdermills, EastSussex.

We’re seeking an exceptional Head Housekeeper tojoin our team at Crafted. Reporting to the Front of House Manager, you will beresponsible for overseeing the housekeeping team and ensuring the hotel’scleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards are always at the highestlevel. This includes all rooms, suites, lounges, the pub, the restaurant, andall public areas. You will ensure that our guests receive exceptional serviceby maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness and comfort throughout allareas of the hotel.

That said, as Head Housekeeper, your primary responsibilities will be to:

• Overseeing the housekeeping departmentacross the entire site, ensuring all rooms, suites, lounges, the pub,restaurant, and public spaces are cleaned and maintained to the higheststandard.
• Leading, motivating, and managing thehousekeeping team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and with attentionto detail.
• Ensuring timely room turnover andcleanliness, managing laundry schedules, and maintaining high standards of roompreparation.
• Developing and implementing cleaning andmaintenance schedules to keep the hotel at its best.
• Ensuring that all guest-facing areas,including bathrooms, corridors, and public spaces, are kept spotless andinviting.
• Developing and maintaining inventory systemsfor cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities, ensuring these are alwaysrestocked.
• Collaborating with other departments,including reception and food & beverage, to coordinate tasks and ensureguest satisfaction.
• Conducting regular checks of guest rooms,public areas, and back-of-house facilities to maintain Crafted’s highstandards.
• Providing training and developmentopportunities for housekeeping staff, ensuring they are up to date on companypolicies and best practices.
• Ensuring health and safety standards are metand maintained in all housekeeping activities.
• Reporting to the Front of House Managerregarding housekeeping operations, including any issues, staffing needs, andsupply levels.
• Managing housekeeping budgets, minimisingcosts where possible without compromising quality.
• Addressing guest feedback related tocleanliness and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Extensive experience of housekeeping inhotels.
• Strong leadership and team managementskills, with a passion for coaching and motivating others.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment tomaintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
• Excellent organisational skills, with theability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the abilityto collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Experience in managing budgets andcontrolling costs within a housekeeping department.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulationsrelated to housekeeping and guest areas.
