This agency has worked with world-famous museums, Russell Group universities and some of the country's best-known charities for 25 years. This independent digital agency has run those accounts with project managers focused on delivery. Now, they want someone to own them commercially.
Deliberately restructuring around sector specialism, they’re building a function from scratch rather than inheriting someone else's playbook. The client partnership department is new, and there is genuine white space here, so you can help define what this role becomes.
The Role
You’ll own client relationships and growth for a portfolio worth roughly £1m, across one specialist sector: culture, charity, higher education or public policy. You’ll become the real expert in it: that means setting growth targets, building account plans, spotting expansion the delivery team can't see, and holding senior conversations.
You won’t be relaying messages between client and studio; you’ll be shaping the direction of the relationship. You decide when to go and see a client; you don't ask permission. Project managers handle day-to-day delivery within your squad; you represent the agency externally, and you help build a more client-centric culture across a team of around 45 people.
The Package
Hybrid working, with flexibility on the two office days
30 days' holiday, including your birthday off
A yearly personal budget for development or improving your working life
The Person
You’re a Client Partner or Account Director who has been operating at that level for a while, in a digital agency. You have 3+ years in account management or business development, and a track record of growing accounts, not just running them.
You hold senior relationships comfortably and work with real autonomy. Purpose-led work matters to you more than topping the market on money.
