We are looking for an experienced Freelance Design Strategist to support one of the world’s most recognised food and beverage companies on a global portfolio architecture program within its soft drinks portfolio.

The Role

You will play a key role in developing strategic frameworks and visual schematics that articulate how the portfolio is structured, identifying fixed and flexible elements across brand pillars and creating systems that can scale globally while remaining locally relevant. Day-to-day, you’ll develop portfolio architecture frameworks for a global soft drinks range by creating clear visual schematics that communicate strategic portfolio logic and design system principles and defining and mapping fixed versus flexible elements across portfolio pillars, ensuring consistency and scalability. You’ll be comfortable partnering with brand, design, and innovation teams to align architecture recommendations with business and consumer needs, as well as supporting the development of global guidelines and frameworks that can be implemented across multiple markets.

You’re a seasoned Design Strategist who understands the FMCG market fully, able to work at the intersection of brand strategy, portfolio architecture, and design systems thinking, and ready to define how a global range coherently comes together across markets, products, and consumer touchpoints. It’s important that you can translate complex strategic thinking into compelling visual outputs that can be understood by cross-functional stakeholders, as well as build persuasive strategic narratives that demonstrate why portfolio systems work for consumers and support brand growth.
