Cradlefin Consultants are recruiting for female Domiciliary Care Workers to cover Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and surrounding areas. This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them live fulfilling and independent lives. You’ll be part of a supportive environment where your contribution truly makes a difference. Rate: £12.79 – £15.90 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing Personal Care: Assisting clients with washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming while maintaining their dignity and independence.
- Medication Support: Administering or prompting medication as per care plans.
- Companionship & Emotional Support: Engaging with clients, reducing loneliness, and providing reassurance.
- Meal Preparation & Feeding Assistance: Preparing nutritious meals and helping clients eat if required.
- Mobility Assistance: Supporting clients with moving around safely, including hoisting and repositioning if necessary.
- Household Tasks: Helping with light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping to maintain a comfortable home environment.
- Running Errands: Assisting with shopping, prescription collection, or attending medical appointments.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Observing changes in health and well-being and reporting concerns to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
- Promoting Independence: Encouraging clients to do as much as they can for themselves while offering appropriate support.
- Building Relationships: Developing a trusting relationship with clients and their families, ensuring a person-centred approach to care.
Person Specifications
- A caring and compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- A strong sense of duty of care and commitment to clients’ well-being.
- Excellent communication and listening skills to engage with clients and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
