CRA Consulting is working with a nationally recognised Serious Injury practice as they continue to expand their Grade B fee-earning team. This role is ideal for an experienced Serious Injury File Handler, Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer who enjoys complex, technical work and wants to progress their career in high-quality multi-track personal injury litigation, with full remote working available.
The Opportunity
- You’ll manage a portfolio of claimant Serious Injury claims, predominantly RTA-based, with case values typically ranging from £50,000 to £150,000.
- Alongside running your own caseload, you’ll play an active role in mentoring junior colleagues, supporting team performance, and contributing to the wider growth and profile of the Serious Injury department.
What you’ll be doing
- Running a caseload of Serious Injury claims (£50k-£150k)
- Delivering exceptional client care to clients following life-changing injuries
- Supporting your Team Leader with team motivation, KPIs and performance
- Conducting technical and case reviews, providing mentoring where required
- Meeting clients regularly, including face-to-face where needed
- Instructing and liaising with medical experts, case managers, care experts, counsel and other specialists
- Analysing liability, causation and quantum
- Drafting statements, pleadings and schedules of loss
- Securing early interim payments and appropriate rehabilitation
- Driving cases to optimal settlement outcomes
- Working within a task-based case management system
- Raising your professional profile through networking, articles and case reporting
- Supporting and developing junior team members
What they’re looking for
- Qualified Solicitor or Fellow of CILEX, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years’ PQE (or ability to operate at Grade B level)
- Proven experience handling Serious Injury / multi-track PI claims
- Strong technical knowledge of litigation procedures
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Highly organised, detail-focused and commercially aware
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues
- Confidence developing your professional and market profile
- Existing links within the Serious Injury / PI sector
