Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of non-MOJ personal injury matters, ensuring cases are progressed effectively and in line with procedural requirements and client expectations.
- Investigate liability and quantum, review evidence, obtain witness statements and medical reports, and identify the most appropriate strategy for progressing each claim.
- Prepare legal documentation, draft correspondence, negotiate settlements, and assist with or progress litigated matters through the court process.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear advice, regular updates, and a high standard of service throughout the claims journey.
- Work closely with insurers, solicitors, medical experts, and other third parties to proactively drive cases forward while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to departmental objectives, support best practice initiatives, and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience handling non-MOJ or litigated RTA claims and a strong understanding of the personal injury claims process.
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload independently and possessing the ability to assess claims strategically, identify risks, and progress matters efficiently.
- Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, alongside excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Confident liaising with clients and external stakeholders, demonstrating a professional, proactive, and client-focused approach at all times.
- Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications is expected.
