A well-established regional law firm is seeking to recruit a Medical Negligence Solicitor or experienced Fee Earner to join its growing Civil Litigation team across its South Yorkshire offices. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor through to around 5 years' PQE, or an experienced CILEX professional with relevant litigation rights, looking to develop their career within a highly regarded claimant litigation practice. The firm has an excellent reputation for client care and is recognised for handling a broad range of complex and sensitive medical negligence matters.
Due to continued growth and an increasing volume of instructions, the successful candidate will join a busy and supportive team specialising in medical negligence, serious injury, and wider civil litigation work. The role offers exposure to a varied caseload including hospital negligence, delayed diagnosis claims, surgical errors, birth injury matters, and personal injury cases, alongside opportunities to become involved in inquest work. The position will involve working across multiple South Yorkshire office locations and would suit someone seeking high-quality claimant work within a collaborative and people-focused environment.
Responsibilities- Managing or assisting with a varied caseload of medical negligence and personal injury matters from inception through to conclusion
- Providing clear, empathetic, and practical legal advice tailored to clients' individual circumstances
- Supporting clients through sensitive and often complex claims while delivering exceptional standards of client care
- Liaising with medical experts, counsel, insurers, and third parties to progress claims effectively
- Assisting with inquest preparation and representation where appropriate
- Working collaboratively within a close-knit litigation team to achieve positive client outcomes
- Managing files efficiently in line with compliance and commercial requirements
- Supporting the continued growth and success of the department
- Qualified solicitors, legal executives, or experienced fee earners with claimant clinical negligence and/or personal injury experience
- Strong client care and communication skills
